South Island Stock Quotations.

At the Addiugton yards, on Wednesday, there were small entries of stock in most departments, and there was a fair attendance. The few store sheep offered sold well, but fat sheep were somewhat irregi'lar, the market opening well, but declining towards the close. There was a good sale for fat cattle, and fat pigs showed a slight improvement. Store and dairy cattle were du'l of sale.

Store Sheep.—The only lines of store sheep in the yards were wethers, and they sold from 17s'-id to 2*2s.

Fat Sheep.—The range of prices was :— Prime wethers, 2 Is to 2Gs Gd ; extra, to 20s Gd; medium, 21s to 23s Gd ; unfinished, 20s to 21s Gd ; prime heavy ewes, 21s to 23s 3d; extra, to 26s 9d ; medium, 18s to 20s; fair to good Merino wethers, 13s Gd to 17s lOd.

Fat Cattle—The demand was good, and prices showed a little recovery. Six steers made £11 7s 6d to £11 15s, and seven £7 12s Gd to £8 17s Gd. Other steers brought £5 10s to £11 ; heifers, £5 to£B 15s ; extra good to £9 10s; and cows £5 5s to £8 ss—equal to 22s to 21s i'or prime and 19s to 21s for medium to good per 1001b.

Store and Dairy Cattle.—AH classes met with little demand. Prices : Yearlings lGs; 15 to 18-months, 22s to 39s ; two year steers, 65s to GOs; three-year steers, 95s to 107s Gd (passed); dry cows, 32s Gd to Gls. A fewgood dairy cows were offered, and sold at from £1 to £8.
