Cattle Sale.
At a sale of portion of the cattle on 11. D. and J. F. Buchanan's Kinloch estate, Little River, resumed by the Government for closer settlement purposes, the average prices were : —Fat steers £8 18s, forward heifers £5 5s Gd, three-year-old steers £G 3s Gd, two-year-olds £3 ss, two-year-old heifers £3, yearlings £2 7s Gd; average for 738 head* £-1 10s Gd.
