Eketahuna Stock Quotations.
Messrs Lowes and lorns, Litd., report as follows regarding their Eketahuna stock sale yesterday : — The sale was conducted under most unfavourable circumstances, the weather being most boisterous and a howling gale blowing the whole day. Flooded creeks prevented many lines from coming forward; only one line of sheep was submitted—a small lot of hoggets, which sold at 12s Bd. Cattle were chiefly composed of heifers and springing cows, for which there was good competition, all the main lots changing bands at very satisfactory prices. Springidg heifers made from £5 5s to £0 7s Gd, later calvers £4 to £4 7s Gd; dairy cows, on account of Mr A. H. Bayliss, £5 12s Gd to £7 7s Gd, averaging £6 7s; others from £110s to £G ; steers, rising three years £4. 12s Gd ; yearlings £2 to £2 103 ; 18mos steers £2 15s.
