Mr Aitken Again Asked to
Come Forward.

A deputation has again waited on the Mayor (Mr J. G. Aitken), asking him to re-consider his decision not to stand for re-election to the Mayoralty. It was understood to be the unanimous wish of the Councillors that Mr Aitken be re-elected. Mr Aitken promised to give the matter further consideration and give his definite reply on Monday.
