Skins, Hides, and Tallow.
At Gisborne, the demand for skins was very brisk. Well-saved fine skins made up to per lb; coarser skins averaged 4M to 4fd. Hides were also in keen demand, heavy ox making up to sd; lighter sorts and cows, 4£d to 4f d; station hides, 4d to 4Jd. Good lots of tallow sold at 20s per cwt.; rough, 10s to 18s.
