TOUR OF N.Z. TEAM. MAIR AND STRIKERS (Per Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, December 22. Messrs Mair and Ponder attended the Rugby League Council meeting, which lasted two hoars, at the conclusion of which Mr Osborne, the president, announced that the Council had approved of the sub-committee’s action regarding the suspension of Mr Mair until January 10, and also the suspension of the New Zealand League players refusing to play. The Council i s prepared to continue the tour if Mr Ponder carries on the management, failing which the League team must leave for home on December 31. Mr Mair can resume the managership after January 10. if ] lc desires," added Mr Ponder.
