HOMING PIGEON CLUB.
RACE RESULTS. The Waimate Homing Pigeon Club concluded the old bird racing season with an interval race from Parnassus, an airline of 172 miles, the stationmaster kindly acting as liberator. The birds' put up the best fly of the year, the winning bird accomplishing the journey in 3hr's 21min., whieh was a very good performance as each bird had to accomplish the jotfrney singly. The Chib thanks Mr J. Johns for his kind ness' in donating a trophy for the Ist and 4th prizes. The members wish to thank all donors for tfieir support and also the press for reporting their races, and wish all the compliments of the season. The race resulted:—Mr G. Pitts' Gay Lad, 1527 yards per minute 1, Mr C. Veitch’s Wildfire 1456yds, 2; Mr J. Loper’s Rona 1433yds, 3; Mr J. Gordon’s Scotch Mist. 1420yds, 4.
