TRIBUTE TO NEWSPAPER ADVERTISING.
During a discussion at the Carnavonshire County Council as to the advisability of publishing certain bylaws (says a London paper of December 18), a member asked whether it was not possible to publish them in a cheaper way than in the newspapers. The Clerk (Sir John Roberts): Take it from me, that the cheapest way of advertising these by-laws is in the newspapers. By means of newspapers you can reach every part of the country, which is not possible by posters. It was decided to advertise In newspapers.
