There is, however, scarcely anything offering hy growers, and millers and merchants are (aiding it a more difficult matter to obtain wheat. AVith a reported surplus over the year’s requirements and witli only eight and a-half months of the wheat year gone, there should still he plenty available, hut no one seems to know where it is held. Not only is milling wheat scarce, huh fowl wheat is unprocurable, and orders can only lie filled with milling quality’. There is a good demand for fowl wheat from the North Island, and as with milling wheat prices, have eonsidefa'dy advanced.
