SYDNEY, June 16.
A half-caste, at Adelong, named Conqeust, was suffering from dementia and Sergeant Depress went to take charge of the sufferer, who opened the door a little and defied the police. He poked out a pea rifle and shot the Sergeant in the groin. The Sergeant replied with a revolver.
Conquest was shot dead
