PROGRESS OE AUSTRALIAN MANUFACTURES. fPEtt PEESS 'SSOCU'ION. —COPVIUGIIT. | SYDNEY, April 19.—At a luncheon in connection with the manufacturers’ week, the Hon Mr Treflc (State Minister of Agriculture) quoted figures showing the value of the machinery in the Commonwealth to be twenty six millions, and that in New South Wales ten millions. The premises used for manufacturers in the Commonwealth were of a value of twenty-seven millions, and those in New South Wales eleven millions. The raw material used in the Commonwealth for manufactures was of an annual value of sixtyfive millions, and that used in New South Wales twenty-seven millions. In ten years the value of the production of the Commonwealth had increased from £112,272,000 to £174,000,000.
