a smniAEY. PER PUEHS association— copyp.iGin. DUNEDIN, April, 19! Mr. Maxwell, the Chief Enumerator, has completed an unchecked summary of the census returns. The results are as follows:—City of Dunedin, 36,269; including North East Valley, 5,232; total 41,-501. The figures for the suburbs are:—St. Kilda, 4,124; West Harbor, 1649; Maori Hill, 2217; Roslyn, 5,733; and Mornington, 4,675. The total population of Dunedin is 59,899. The total in the year 1906 was 56,020, there thus being an in crease of 3,879. The increases are as follow:—City of Dunedin, 199; North East Valley, 854; St. Kilda, 1,545, West Harbor, 134; Maori Hill, 331; Roslyn, 295; Mornington 521. The Green Island Borough total is 1,867, as against 703 in 1906, an increase of 1,164. The boundaries have been altered. Mosgiel borough has a total of 1,595 an increase, of 78.
