FIRE BRIGADE COMPETITIONS
The competition for the gold medal presented by Superintendent Thompson took place on Saturday last. It will be seen from the results that excellent times wore put up. The following are the results;—
One-man Imagine Event.—Fireman IV. Wallace 36 3-ssecs (lied Usees) 1; 11. Boss 39J secs (2secs) 2; C. Ross 40J secs (4secs) 3. One-man Union Practice—W. Wallace 39 l-Ssecs (3secs) 1; U. McMillan 4] 4-s,sees (4sec.s; 2; C. Ross 42 3-ssocs (3socs) 3.
Disa bled Hose Competition—C. Ross 46 2-osccs (Ssocs) 1; 11. Ross, 50 1-5 secs (set) 2; W. Wallace 50 2-ssecs (scr) 3.
The lowest aggregate is that of W. Wallace 126 l-ssecs (ssces) 1; C. Ross 129(sees (15sees) 2; and R. Ross 135 1-lOsees (ser) 3. Mr Wallace thus wins the gold medal.
