Sydney, Sept. 15.
The official pay sheet of last week's work at the Newcastle colliery shows the highest wages per man per day was 13s 6d, whilst the lowest was 10a 4d ; ' the general average was Us 6d. Melbourne, Sept. 15. The Intercolonial Meteorological Conference have resolved to establish stations at New Guinea, Noumea, Tahiti and other points in the Pacific in order to obtain better information concerning the cyclones affecting America.
