TWO MOTOR-CYCLISTS HURT IN ONLY SERIOUS WELLINGTON ACCIDENTS
WELLINGTON, Last Night (PALOnly two serious accidents occurred in Wellington and the Hutt Valley on Christmas Day. Both were to motor-cyclists. When his machine struck the Pahautanui Bridge at 6.40 a.m. today, Mr. M. Satchell. motor mechanic, of Trentham, received lacerations to the scalp, and spinal injuries. He was admitted to the Lower Hutt Hospital. Mr. L. W. Gill, driver, 13 Sidlaw Street Miramar, broke his right leg when his machine struck a stationary car at the corner of Courts and Bridge Streets at 6.35 p.m. He was admitted to the Wellington Hospital. A pedestrian broke a thigh on Sunday in a fall. He is Mr. R. Evans, welder, of Shearer Crescent. Lower Hutt. He was admitted to the Wellington Hospital.
