Young Maori Woman Killed; ’ Truck Over A Bank
WAIROA, Yesterday (PA).—Alice Clark, a single Maori woman, aged 20, was killed instantaneously on Saturday night when the truck in which she was riding on the rear capsized and went over a bank. Keith Ross, aged 22, a carpenter, of Masterton, who was also riding at the rear, suffered head wounds and general injuries. He was removed to hospital, where his condition is reported to be satisfactory. Three other passengers, including a six-months-old child, escaped injury.
