Two Scholarships For 12-Year-Old Boy
GISBORNE. Yesterday (P.A.)—This year’s dux of the Gisborne Marist Brothers’ School, Graeme Brittenden, who recently won a boarding scholarship at St. Bedes’ College, Christchurch, has now been awarded a similar scholarship at St. Patrick's College, Silverstream. This is a remarkable performance as Brittenden is only 12. He competed against candidates throughout. New Zealand up to 14 years. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Brittenden, Gisborne.
