AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TEAM DEFEATS NORTHEASTERN TRANSVAAL
JOHANNESBURG, Nov. 7—Australia defeated North Eastern Transvaal by 10 wickets, ending the game in two days. Australia's batting emerged from the match looking powerful, but the bowling was patchy and lacked penetration at times today. Funston, a promising young bat, and Edwards added 109 for the fifth wicket in a plucky stand that exposed the limitations of the present Australian attack.
