Chemists Protest Against One Shilling Charge For National Health Service
LONDON, Nov. 5 (Rec. 6 pm).— The Pharmaceutical Society Council, representing 26,000 chemists in Britain, has sent a letter to Mr. Attlee
protesting against the one shilling charge fc>r National Health Service prescriptions.
The protest said: “The charge will not deter to any serious extent those who are misusing the service, but will be prejudicial to the use of the service by persons in need of medical attention.”—Reuter.
