L.T. THOMAS WINS INTERMEDIATE TITLE AT CASTLECLIFF
The Intermediate championship of the Castl’ecliff Golf Club was decided recently when L. T. Thomas won from R. G. Chamley over 36 holes of match play. Both players were in good form and although Thomas established an early lead Chamley, by consistent play, held his more experienced opponent to the 32nd hole. The junior championship was won by T. Gifford-Moore from S. N. Jones over 18 holes. The season’s eclectic handicap for the Grieve Cup was won by Leo Whetton by a clear three strokes. The only remaining championship matches are the senior and junior championship foursomes for the Bristol Cups and this match will take place on October 29. Closing day has been postponed one week to November 5.
