Retirement Of Members Of Technical College Board Of Managers
To fill the vacancies caused by the automatic retirement of Mrs M. G. Batt and Mr N. Reid, as representatives of the parents of pupils on the Board of Managers of the Wanganui Technical College, nominations for the two positions will be received until Friday, July 29.
Both retiring members are eligible for re-election. If an election is necessary a postal ballot, closing on Monday, August 8, will be conducted. One of the vacancies must be tilled by a woman representative. , Other members of the board whose membership has expired are Mr T. jDix. representing the local bodies, and IMr S. C. Shenton- a representative of !the employers. 1 The board consists of 12 members, comprising representatives of various i organisations. Three members represent the parents of the pupils, two leach from the Education Board, the iemployers, the employees, and local bodies, and one representative of the [ Wanganui School Committees. All ' members are elected for a period of [three years, but the appointments are [staggered so that a certain number retire each year.
