Mr. Morrison’s Honour Appreciated By Harbour Board
Congratulations on the honour bestowed on Mr. W. Morrison, of Maxwell, by the King in the recent Birthday Honours were extended by the chairman, Mr. E. A. Millward, at yesterday’s meeting of the Wanganui Harbour Board. Mr. Morrison was awarded the 0.8. E. Mr. Millward said that Mr. Morrison fully deserved the honour which had been bestowed on him. His work for local bodies, not only in Wanganui, but throughout the Dominion, was well known to all members of the board. In his reply, Mr. Morrison said that his work for local bodies he had always regarded as a labour of love. POWER BOARD OFFERS CONGRATULATIONS Mr. W. Morrison, 0.8. E.. of Maxwell, a member bf the Wanganui-Ran-gitikei Electric-power Board, who was named in His Majesty’s birthday honours. received the congratulations oi board members at then- monthly meeting yesterday.
