Repair Of Transformer For Regular Waverley Power Supply

“Waverley will have a regular supply definitely by next wirfter and possibly before Christmas,’' said the assistant engineer (Mr D. B. Hughes, at the monthly meeting of the Wan-ganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board yesterday. A transformer is being repaired in Hawke's Bay and a point of supply will be established as soon as possible.” Discussing the rationing system which should lessen the difficulties of the board until an additional point of supply at Waverley can be brought into service, the secretary, Mr G. A. Ammundsen, stated •that a complete summary of the consumers' accounts in the district for the last 12 months has been prepared, and these are at present being grouped and recast on different bases from which to arrive at an allocation.

“It is much more difficult to fix any allocation that will show a saving over all consumers, where there has been such a stringent control over certain services as we have operated in this board. I hope to have some scheme for recommendation at next meeting," he added.
