Nanking Settles Down To Peaceful Life
NEW YORK, May 30 (Rec. 8 p.m.) —After one month of Communist occupation, Nanking has settled down to an orderly, peaceful existence, says the “New York Times” correspondent, in Nanking. Communists, who obviously are! hampered by lack of administrators, | have rehired many former Nationalist employees, and seem to be feeling their way cautiously. They have made considerable headway in restoring order.
