Police Fight With Seamen At Vancouver
VANCOUVER, April 12 (Rec. 7.30 pm).—Fifty police fought with 200 members of the Canadian Seamen's Union on the Vancouver docks today after a crew of rival seamen were taken aboard a freighter in a police launch. At least three unionists were injured. Canadian Seamen’s Union men are striking against the east coast shipowners. There is no strike on the west coast, but Canadian Seamen’s Union men are picketing ships in Vancouver Harbour operated by eastern companies.
