Lord Rowallan Form# Good Impression Of Scouting In N.Z.

AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA).—A favourable impression of Scouting in New Zealand has been formed by the Empire Chief Scout, Lord Rowallan, who returned to Auckland today, after an extensive five weeks’ tour of the Dominion. Lord Rowallan will leave on Saturday for Australia. “In most places New Zealand Scouting is first rate, but there are some places where there are weak spots. Lord Rowallan said, in reviewing what he had seen of,.the movement in the Dominion. “I think people are fully aware of that, and I think that what is necessary will be done to the posiiton. We need some of the young men who have come back from the forces to help consolidate the position. J have been very much encouraged to find that a number of young fellows from Home who have settled in New Zealand Since the war have *aken out warrants. They are fairly evently distributed throughout the country and it has been most encouraging to see their enthusiasm,” said Lord Rowallan.
