Australia Votes With Soviet On Finland And Italy
PARIS, Nov. 27 (Recd. 6 pm).— Australia joined the Soviet bloc of six countries and Chile and Ethiopia in voting in the second political committee against a Belgian resolution calling on the Security Council to reconsider the membership applications of Italy and Finland. A resolution, passed by 29 votes to nine with 12 abstentions, called attention to the fact that the two countries obtained previously nine out of 11 votes in the Securiy Council but had been blocked by the Russian veto.
