Marr Has Convincing Win Over Hoffman
(P.A.) Auckland. June 28. In one of the best boxing bouts seen in Auckland for several seasons, the Victorian light - heavyweight champion Jackie Marr, scored a convincing win over Darcy Hoffman, of Dunedin. Any doubts of Marr’s ability which may have remained after his *‘n<J contest” bout with Dave Sands or April 19 were completely dispelled bj Marr’s display tonight. Except foi lack of a knock-out punch, Man proved himself the complete boxer. Marr weighed in at 12.1 i and Hoffman at 127.
