Rapid House Building In Britain
London. June 25. The British Governments 1945 target of housing three-quarters of a million families within three years will be reached this autumn, says an official announcement. The pace of house construction will be speeded up from 140,000 to 180,000 a year. A total of £647,912 houses had been completed bv Mav 31. Britain Is building over 20,000 permanent houses a month.
