Australians Score Easy Win Over Sussex

(N.Z.P. A.—Reuter—Copyright) London. June 7. Australia’s fast bowler, Lindwall, with intelligent help from Ring at the other end, again routed the Sussex batsmen in the county’s second innings. Lindwall’s five wickets for 25 gave him the wonderful figures of 11 for 59 for the match. The batsmen Sfeemed paralysed by his swerve, speed and accuracy. A determined 61 by Parks was the county's only fruitful knock. Bradman declared the Australian innings closed at five for 549 as soon as Harvey completed a faultless 100— his first in England. Earlier, Bradman had made his fourth century. It was a dashing, dominating innings which ended when Bradman threw his wicket away. The Australian batsmen today scored at the rate of nearly three runs a minute. Bradman himself scored at the rate of two runs a minute- His 109 was made in 124 minutes and included 12 boundaries. Morris made his 184 in 243 minutes and hit 26 fours. The second wicket partnership realised 189 runs. Lindwall, whose form with the bat has been poor, was promoted in the batting list to give him practice for the test. He hit up a bright halfcentury. Harvey indulged in glorious driving which yielded a steady stream of runs. His century was reached in 116 minutes and included 16 fours.
