Death Of Famous Test Wicketkeeper
Recd. 10.15 p.m. Sydney, June 8. The death is announced of the famous Test Wicketkeeper, Hanson ("Sep”) Carter, aged 70 years. Born in Yorkshire, he kept wicket for Australia in Test matches for 15 years from 1907 until 1921.
