Wanganui And Hamilton Dominate Basketball At New Plymouth

Hamilton and Wanganui teams dominated play in the New Plymouth Indoor Basketball Association’s tournament, in which fast, clean play was combined with spectacular goal shooting. The Wanganui mens' team won all its games in the first series of representative matches, but in the subsequent knockout competition was beaten by Hamilton in the final. Results of representative games were: Men. Wanganui 18 v New Plymouth 6; Wanganui 24 v New Plymouth B 3: Hamilton 43 y New Plymouth 14; Wanganui 20 v Hamilton 9; Haffiilton 25 v New Plymouth B 5.
