FIRST MATCH OF THE SEASON Hockey for the 1948 season began on Saturday, when Castlecliff met Rangers, a new team, on the Gonville Domain in an unofficial match. Play was of a fair standard considering the circumstances, and both teams gave a willing and energetic display of the code. Best players were N. Mclntyre and I. Gurney (Rangers) and D. Cate, E.
