Cycling Handicaps For Tomorrow’s Race
The Wanganui Amateur Road Cycling Club will be holding their final race of the season this Saturday at 2 p.m. The course will be, starting at the Red Lion Inn, then round the Kaimatira Block and out to the Warrengate and return, finishing at the Putiki boundary. The Boomerang Cup will be competed for in this event and special trophies have been donated, which is recognised as the major club event of the year. The following handicaps have been declared:—T. Philpot, K. Stevens, 20secs.; W. Pidwell, J. Laidlaw, A. Higgs F. Clinton, Imin.; J. Anderson, R. Anderson, T. Philpot, W. Beswarick, 2min. 20secs.; U. Beswarick, A. Sharrock, 3min. 30secs.; H. Hodson, L. Christie, 4min. 40secs.; J. Chalk, smin. 40secs.; G. Harrison, R. Lee, 6min. 40secs.
