WANGANUI RANANA SPORTS With the exception of the main event, the open jump for the Morgan Ngatoa Memorial Challenge Cup, the programme of the Ranana Sports Club’s annual meeting was held in fine weather to the enjoyment of a large and enthusiastic crowd. One of the main attractions on the programme was the action song cornpetiuon neld in the evening. This was won by Parikino B with Pari kino A second, these were judged by Te Matara Marshall with Tanginoa Tapa as his associate. All the horse events and athletic, eve..is were run to scneauie. Special mention being made of Pita Haami, ground marsnal and horse steward, who did good work in the strict running or the programme. Results:— Horse Events. Judge: Mr. L. Grace, Tokaanu.
