OBITUARY
MRS. D. M. BEERE. Mrs. Esther Ann Beere, of Whangarei, a former Army nurse, has died. Mrs. Beere served with the Queen Alexandra Imperial Nursing Service in France during the First World War and it was there that she met her husband, Mr. D. M. Beere. Mrs Beere is survived by her husband, one son who is still with the Navy overseas, and one daughter. MRS EMILY WOOD. Mrs. Emily Maude Wood has died in the Auckland Hospital. Born in England, Mrs. Wood came to New eZaland in 1909 and was matron of the Portland Road Children's Home and the Caversham Industrial School. She is survived by her brother, and a sister.
