AUCKLAND TRAMWAYMEN AGREE NOT TO STOP

MINISTER’S DECISION ACCEPTED (P.A.) Auckland, March 9 Terms made by the Minister of Labour, Mr. McLagen, in intervening in the Auckland tramways dispute that there would be no stoppage of work and that both parties would accept the Tribunal's decision were accepted by the Auckland Tramway Employees' Union in a resolution passed at a special meeting of tramway workers yesterday morning. The acceptance is conditional upon the setting up of an emergency Tribunal to finalise matters under dispute. There was a large attendance at the meeting, which was representative ot all branches ot transport services.

Consideration of Mr. McLagen's decision to set up a tribunal would be given by the Auckland Transport Board at a meeting on Monday morning, said the chairman, Mr. W. Nagle, when the appointment was referred to him. He added that the board always obeyed the law in all matters.
