ACTIVE DEMAND AT LONDON WOOL SALES
An active demand in all branches of the trade existed at the London wool sales, the Wanganui branch ol the Bank of New Zealand has been informed by its London office. A cable from London states: “The sales have closed firm and withdrawals are practically nil. Current quotations for wools of average condition: Half bred, 50/56’s, 2()d to 22d. Crossbred' 50’s, 19d to 20d; 48/50’s, 18id to 19ld; 46/48’s, 18d to 18i?d; 44/46’s, 18d to ISid.
