THOUSANDS ATTEND FUNERAL OF MISS GRACE MOORE
Recd. 7.30 p.m. New York, Feb. 23 In the presence of 6000 the singer, Grace Moore, who was killed in an aeroplane crash near Copenhagen, on January 21, was buried at Forest Hills cemetery, Chattanooga, Tennessee, this afternoon, alongside her fathers grave. More than 2000 crowded into the church and 1500 stood outside for the service, during which the Metropolitan opera star, Dorothy Kirsten, sang "Ave Maria.” Miss Moore’s vocal career began as a member of the choir at a small church in Jellico, Tennessee.
