GOLFER BOBBIE LOCKE IN FORM
DEFEAT OF SAM SNEAD Cape Town, Feb. 22 The golf champion, Bobbie Locke, defeated the American holder of the British open championship. Sam Snead, by two and one in a 72 hole match over three courses, which concluded to-day on the Royal Cape course. Wynberg. Locke held on to a lead on a hole which he gained in the first 18 holes, and Snead, after battling for 71 holes over three Associations courses, went to the last tee all square. Locke took the final hole to win the match with rji eagle three. Locke ended the first round over the Rondesbosch course one up, and held a one hole lead through the second round on the Mowbray course yesterday.
