“THANK YOU, WANGANUI!”
“Could I express through the columns of the “Chronicle” the appreciation of the Woolston Band for the wonderful hospitality and organisation in Wanganui,” said Mr. R. J. Estaii, conduc- - tor of the Woolston Band, who has had the baton of that combination more than 30 years. “Knowing the difficulties of the times, the excellent work of the Contest Committee, of the secretary (Mr. Frank Donaldson) and of Mr. R. W. Horn, who has taken this band into his charge while in the city, is all very much appreciated by Woolston. .“Never, in the long history of this band has such a welcome been extended, and no greater co-operation has been forthcoming anywhere than from the people of Wanganui. . .Woolston says: ../Thank you, Wanganui!’ ”
