ST. JOHN’S CLUB WELCOMES A VISITOR, CONGRATULATES ITS TEAMS

At the afternoon tea adjournment the president of the St. John’s Bowling Club welcomed Mr. E. D. Reid, president of the Remue-a Club to the green on Saturday. Mr. Reid was a foundation member of St. John’s Club and was number three In the team that first won the ‘‘full rinks'' chamnionship. Mr. Reid thanked meir.Vers for the kindly reception extended to him. Mr. Bates also took the opportunity to congratulate the two teams that did so well at the Dominion ournament. Not only did they both qualify for post section play, but Clinkard's team was one of the last two two-lifers. Special mention was also made of Clinkard's excellent showing in the Dominion Singles Championship, there being only 6 left in when he was defeated, c.n excellent performance Other members of the two teams also did well in both singls and pairs championships. The teams were—B. Shaw, J. Brass, Jas. Wight, and C. H. Clinkard and W. Pepper, A. Pepper, R. Armstrong and J. Kirkwood.
