AUSTRALIAN SPRINTER TO MEET DON CAMPBELL (U.S.A.) IN N.Z.
Recd. 9 p.m. Sydney, Jan. 30 The champion sprinter, John Treloar, has accepted an Invitation from the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to go to New Zealand and meet the leading American, Don Campbell. He will leave Sydney on Monday by air, and will be away a month, during which time he will have about eight races. Chief among these wifi be the New Zealand 100 and 200 yard championships, in which he will run against Campbell and the New Zealander, Ron Agate. The middle distance champion. George Campbell, declined a similar offer because of family reasons.
