NEW ZEALANDER LOSING BADLY AT WORLD SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIPS
Recd. 7.45 p.m. London, Jan. 21. Fred Davis made a flying start against Clark McConachy in the competition proper (first heat) of the World Professional Snooker Championship at Blackpool yesterday. He was leading by 12 frames to nil at the close of play, scores: Davis’ figures first:—lo6-5, 70-23, 62-48, 7233, 78-25, 84-35, 108-32, 87-15, 70-28, 99-25, 87-27, 76-31'.
