COSMOPOLITAN CLUB
Owing to weather conditions the Cosmopolitan Bowling Club green was unfit for play, but the official opening was held on Saturday. The “Jack” was put up by Mr. J. Driver, a former president of the club and the oldest member of the Bowling Club. Mr. Driver lived up to his reputation as one of the club s oest leads and played two wonderful shots right on "Kitty.” The green was then declared open by Mr. A. J. Pritchard, vice-president of the club, who wished all members a most successful season. Mr. C. Sander, chairman of the bowling committee also addressed the members.
COSMO CLUB VISITORS FOR NEXT SATURDAY.
The following teams will represent the Cosmopolitan Club at the various greens on visiting day, next Saturday, October 12.
AT Wanganui East.—Pluck, McDonald, Br.dges, Taylor (skip). At Gonville.—Driver, Perrett, Ryan Lnvrhland (skip). At Wanganui.—Findlay, N. Fayen, Turner, Booth (skip). At St. John’s. —W. Robertson, H Clisby, Iverend, Fry (skip). Emergencies.—E. Fayen, H Crysell, W. Holden.
Other teams will be picked on the gieen to play the visitors.
