FINAL TRIBUTE
FUNERAL OF LATE DR. A. H. E. WALL. Homage to the late Dr. A. 11. E. Wall was paid by all sections of the community on Saturday last, when the funeral service was held at the Aramoho Cemetery following a service in Christ Church. In spite of pouring rain, the church was packed for the service and 50 cars, including several filled with floral tributes, formed the cortege. The initial service and that at the graveside were conducted by the Ven. Archdeacon J. R. Young, assisted by, the Rev. W. L. Bell-Booth. Pallbearers at the church and the cemetery were Drs. H. D. Robertson. A. N. Earle, F. Hutchison, D. Wilson, Messrs. H. G. Carver and L. Wall. The medical fraternity in Wanganui was fully represented at the funeral •and Dr. Wall’s popularity among the farming community was also demonstrated by the number of district farmers who paid their respects. The Mayor, Hon. W. J. Rogers, M.L.C., represented the citizens of Wanganui and there were also present the town clerk, Mr. C. R. White, Messrs. C. N. Armstrong (Returned Services’ Asso'iation), C. S. Jeffs (Wanganui Cha iher ?f Commerce), E. H. Poynter Wanganui Rotary Club), Dr. H. L. Widdowson (Medical Superintendent, Wanganui Public Hospital), and Mr. A. R. Donaldson (secretary, Federated Farmers).
