SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Miss Betty Sparks, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Nelson Hughes, Maxwell. Mrs. A. McPhail was re-elected president of the W.D.F.U. Provincial at the aanual meeting held yesterday. Miss N. Broadbent will leave for Nelson to-day to attend the Robinson—Whelan wedding. Mrs. T. Tasker, Bay of Plenty, and Miss M. Walker, Sydney, are the guests of Mrs. A. Tasker, St. John’s Hill. Mrs. Hugh Graham, Keith Street, is visiting relatives in Christchurch and before returning home will spend a few days in Pahiatua. S.P.C.A. Paddy’s Market. Produce, cakes, flowers and “white elephant" articles will be on sale at the Paddy's Market, to be held to-morrow from 10.30 a.ni., in Victoria Hall, St. Hill Street. The proceeds are in aid of the S.P.C.A.
Pre-Wedding Party. In honour of Miss Enid Campion, a “kitchen” tea was given recently by Mrs. W. J. B. Tripe, Mrs. Jack Marsh and Mrs. Jim Cranstone, at the home of Mrs. Desmond Campion.
