ATHLETIC MEETING Sir, —The many t housands who went along to Cook's Gardens on Saturday afternoon enjoyed a programme such as is not often seen. Incidentally the spectators must have/been impressed with the physique of some of our youth, and wished that many more of them took an active interest in,athletics. However, my purpose in writing this is to draw attention to the splendid work of the officials responsible. They are to be congratulated on their management of the meeting, in keeping the events up to time, and in seeing that there was not a dull moment. —I am, etc., “SPECTATOR.”
