3234 RABBITS KILLED IN FEBRUARY
The number ol rabbits exterminated in the Palea-W aitotara Rabbit Board district during February was 3234, the clerk, Mr. S. L. Orr, reported to the monthly meeting of the board on Wednesday. All of the board’s six rabbiters had not, however, been working fall time during the month. Tenders received for the right to exterminate rabbits on two blocks were referred to a sub-committee for decision. Penalty date for non-payment of rabbit board rates is to-day, and the clerk reported that of the £1340 7s 3d levied £lll6 19s 6d had been collected, leav.ng a balance of 1229 7s' 9d. Mr. Claud Smith presided over Messrs. T. Lupton, H. Matthews, F. K. Pearce, T. E. Wilson, and W. Harris, Government inspector.
