FOREIGN MINISTERS

AUDIENCE GIVEN BY STALIN

SEPARATE INTERVIEWS Recd. 9 p.m. London, Dec. 20. Generalissimo Stalin received the British Foreign Secretary (Mr. Ernest Bevin) and the United States Secretary of State (Mr. J. F. Byrnes), states the Moscow radio. The Soviet Foreign Commissar (Mr. Moltov) was present. Mr. Bevin was accompanied by the British Ambassador to the Soviet Union (Sir Archibald Clark-Kerr), and the Permanent Under-Secretary to the Foreign Cilice (Sir Alexander Cadogan). Mr. Byrnes was accompanied by the United States Ambassador to the Soviet Union (Mr. Harriman). The two Foreign Secretaries and those accompanying them were seen separately. Mr. Moltov was present at both interviews.

The Associated Press says that the Foreign Ministers went into conference yesterday an hour later than usual.

Mr. Bevin is keeping the Dominion Ministers fully informed on the Moscow talks, says the “Daily Mail's’’ correspondent, who adds that the Chinese and French Ambassadors are in constant touch with Mr. Bevin and Mr. Byrnes.
